A TASTY HOLY TRINITY
Pioneered by Chef Kam, who was working on Chinese cuisine in Switzerland, he has met with chefs of different nations. From there he experienced the wonders of Thai and Vietnamese cuisines, employing simple ingredients and spices to create a wondrous gastronomical experience. Fascinated by the fact that the taste made lively with sweetness, sourness, saltiness and spiciness fused into an orgasm of flavours, exceptionally breaking all rules of Chinese cooking.
Armed with his Chinese culinary skills and new knowledge of Vietnamese and Thai cooking methods, Chef Kam was inspired to bring that fusion of cuisine back to Malaysia. Hence the birth of VietThai Restaurant.
The interior oozes a contemporary and comfortable ambience, giving you a cosy and relaxed dining experience, yet at the same time gives out an illusion that you could be dining in Thailand or Vietnam.
The food, a blend of cooking styles and components of three different cultures, would make any patron to VietThai Restaurant to salivate; even by stating the dish’s name out loud.
Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Chop – the fragrance of the lemongrass, complementing the grilled chicken, a bite of this would make you crave for more.
Vietnamese Soft Shell Crab Summer Roll – the perfect Vietnamese appetizer; the soft shell crab was nicely done and goes very well with the fresh spring roll.
VietThai Special Combo – this sharing platter allows you to try the different flavours of different mains.
Steamed Siakap Fish with Hot & Sour Soup – further enhancing the freshness of the Siakap fish, the hot and sour soup was a delight to our taste buds!
Seafood Tom Yum Pot – phew! This is one perfect pot especially during a wet, rainy day! Comes with huge prawns, squid and chicken, this Seafood Tom Yum Pot definitely hits the spot!
A meal perfectly fitting the bellies of three persons!
For the finale, we washed down our food with glasses of iced-cold Thai tea and Green Tea flavoured Milk tea. Hmmm. It felt like we were in Thailand/Vietnam at that moment!
Shying from the busy side of TTDI, VietThai is the perfect place to head to when you are craving for Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese food at the same, as the menu brings out the flavours and tastes of all three different cooking styles – Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese. The food was sensational, topped with an impeccable service and affordable pricing, along with the ambience of fine-dining, VietThai is on top of CircleSquare’s list on where to go for good food. Arroy-mak! Thom ngon! Hao chi!
